Default is this a good suspension setup?

As i mentioned before i have a ton of play in the steering of my 69 coupe with a 302 and 3 speed auto. Someone recommended a kit from this seller and i noticed they also had this kit> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...;rd=1&rd=1
Does this look like a good kit. I kinda thought that since i was doing the front i might as well do the rear and then not have to worry about anything. The front only kit is just under 600. I was thinking of doing the 1" lower springs for the front since they are also stiffer. If i do that do i want the 1" lower leaf springs for the rear or do i want the stock height? Then do i want the stiffer ones for the rear as well? I am planning on also getting a flaming river steering box, would there be anything else that would cause play in the steering that i would want to replace while i am in there? Do the rear springs wear out or is this item not really needed? Thanks in advance for the help.

Any joint in the steering could be the cause of your problem. That is not much of a performance kit, take a look at what mustangs plus has, it seems like i remember them being cheaper than that with more options. Before you drop several hundred on a FR steering box, make sure that is the cause of your problem. Chances are that is what it is but every car is different. When you replace it, be sure to check all your joints.

I got my kit from LMM off ebay and picked it up. Picking it up saved me 100, and deleting the steering was 122, so I got a nearly complete suspension and export brace for 677.

For under $200 and some spare time I upgraded my old suspension components. The lower control arms I installed spherical bearings and screw in ball joints. For the upper arm I changed the ball joint angle and did a 1 3/4" shelby drop. After all that, I have Opentracker roller spring perches $200, Street or Track adjustable strut rods $300, and Baer Tracker bump steer kit, $170. I also installed a vario-centric camber kit, $75. My front suspension is rubber free and much easier to dial in the alignment. Heck I didn't realize how much I spent on my suspension until now.

i am mechanically inclined so i would be capable of installing new bushing and such but there seemed like there was so many things to change and everything was probably going to be rusty that it would not be worth the time when i could get all new parts. This seemed like alot of bang for the buck but i could be wrong. Would it be alot cheaper to just buy all the bushings and ball joints and what not and then buy new springs, shocks, and swaybars?
