Default Six cylinders engine performance

Recently I was reading the post by ndnboy regarding his test drive on a 68 with 6 cylinders and the lack of power on those engines and several comments that is one of the principal reasons of why ownerswith 6 want to swap to V8 engines..serching for other info I found a very interesting article on the "tech articles" on www.mustangandfords.com regarding the mods to give performance to 6 cylinders engines..personaly I never own or test drive a 6 but I hope that the article is informative to some members of the forum.

i have an I6 with some decent power but it too some modification to get the power

and all of those motors in that tech article belong to members of www.fordsix.com and there are even more modified I6's there including a 250 in a flacon with a turbo who has a best of an 11.39 in the quarter-mile
