Well, it's been a while since I got the time to work on the '65. Installed a new gas tank, fuel lines, filter, pump. Today I decided to show my wife what the 289 sounds like with open headers on the car. Siphoned fuel down the line to the pump, poured a bit into the carb and it fired over on the first turn of the key. Sounded beautiful!!! I revved it up a couple of times just to let the neighbors know that this summer isn't going to be a quiet one! Even called another car nut that I work with and revved it up while holding the phone under the car. He said it was just what he needed to hear...we laughed for a couple of minutes over the phone.Ya gotta love it.

I am sure the neighbors are hoping that I don't keep this up much longer.

It was music to my ears...

it is a sweet sound every time I have to uncap mine for what ever resson I can't help but strat it up and just listen to it. congrads on your work.
