I'm trying to put my fuel pump on correctly.

When I get the bolts started and push the fuel pump onto the timing cover, I can push the pump up and down and hear the pump working. Is this the correct orientation?

Yeah it's ok. On a Ford you can't hardly get it wrong. It's not like a Chevy.
