Only if you find a 1300 donor car that is FUBAR but happens to have perfectly good running engine and drivetrain.
I don't understand, if its just your tranny that went out and you have a budget of 1300 why not just rebuild the c4? or better yet, if you want to blow all your 1300 bucks you can buy a bullet proof one from performance automatic. There's no need to replace your rear end or your engine just because the tranny went out.

No. If your were cruising, you obviously have an engine that is running, If your C4 won't shift, then you need to either adjust the bands or overhaul the C4.
On edit: Mojoe beat me to it but we are on the same page of music.

Where are you located? I could help with the rear and the tranny (both used, not rebuilt) but i dont want to ship. It can be done if you get a running junkyard engine and used c4/rear. What motor do you have in it already? Why don't you just buy a tranny?

so is my best bet to go to junkyards? and look for all the stuff there....how do i go about changing rearends and what does it do to my 4lug wheels and stuff
sorry to say it, but plain and simple you're not going to be able to do what you wanna do for 1300 bucks...especially now knowing that your car is an I6. You maaay get lucky finding a junkyard dog that has a salvagable [keyword salvagable] drivetrain and engine, but that will most likely eat up your 1300 bucks and leave you short of the 5-lug swap. Add in the fact that you're probably going to need some cash to get that salvagable junkyard find running, and its easy to see that you're just going to have to fork out some more $$$ to do everything. I say get the tranny rebuilt, save your $$$ and do the v8 swap the right way....with new parts.
