Default For Soaring

i know i know the pic is blurry - i guess i had some pocket fuzz on my cell camera. anyways passing the local stealership i happened to see this and was kinda wowwed that they would have a classic on the lot. i instantly thought of your car so i had to take a peek. upon examination i found it still had the original 2bbl and even the original gold air cleaner. seeing this color car in this original condition i knew i had to snap a picture for ya

and while i was there i noticed inside they had a Shelby (ooooh i wish it was a GT500 [>:])

$50,000 and 90% of the markup is for nothing that makes the car any faster - but it sure did look nice!

you mean that cold air intake and hurst shifter doesnt cost the 25000 over a GT, you mean carrol shelby and ford and its dealerships would mark up a car 25000 for 1000 in performance parts and a shelby badge...

Hey, thanks Shane. Was the car 100% original, or did it have a new paint job on it? How about the price? Was there a sticker on it.?

definately repainted, i spotted some semi-shoddy bondo behind the drivers side rear wheel well. really, was in very clean condition for a DD or weekend cruiser. had a new a/c compressor and the floorpans didnt look rotted out.

i went inside to ask about price but then started drooling over the shelby and forgot to ask

I know my brother was planning on getting one of those Shelby GT's until he found out that the Ford dealer here wanted $50k for it[:'(]. That's rediculous, but they're nice cars.

I would appreciat it if you could stop in again and ask what they are asking for it. Not that Ol' Yeller would be for sale, but what a dealer thinks a 65 coupe in good condition is worth.

depends on the classic.... a bondo'd 1965 200 hp vs. a 2007 limited run shelby with over 300hp....... shelby ftw
