i know this is probably the wrong section, or you guys dont know, but im sure ill get the info i need somehow......

hey everybody-this is the79 truck my dad just got from a client, and i was wondering if ya'll could identify the engine, or anything peculur about it......

if we keep it eventually i wanna hijack the engine and stick it in the stang

Ok,, I thought you were pulling our chain!Especially when you asked if we noticed anything peculur about it. Yea it is for sure a GM small block.

You likely won't find much support here for putting that into your Stang!

Although at this point, I am reasonably sure that the swapis notsomthing you will want to do anyway!

Looks like a 3/4 ton bowtie to me. Why would you think a Chevy truck would have a Ford motor in it?

Lol...this is just hilarious. The first pic you posted is of a chevy truck, but dont know the brand of engine.

um, so yeah, i win the intelligence prize, i didnt really take the big ole yellow checy sign on the front into consideration.

i thought it was a ford, i think my dad said it was....... and i just didnt think about it.

oh well, thanks anyways(no way ill sap that into the mustang.....)
