Default Is it just me . . . .

Or is this guy asking a little too much?

He's selling the passenger side for the same amount.

Just wondering how much our Mustangs would really be worth if we tore them apart and sold each part separately.

Lets try it. I'll part out my 66 piece by piece. As long as i get 4,000 out of everything. I think thats quite possible. Who agrees or disagrees?

Me too. It's not working too well tho. LOL!!I'm sure if you were to go by the original selling price from the year the car was sold new, you probably will make out rather well. Saying your car would go for 12,500 as a whole, you may be able to do that or more part by part.

Colostang, the guy has them starting at $100 and buy it now at $175. Who knows where the reserve is set. brand new someone could pick them up for $119, why would I buy a 40 year old part for $100-$175?

I don't why people do it. I have had decent luck with repops. Some people just want the original OEM stuff I guess. If it was in decent condition and I had it in my hands looking at it I would always choose an original part, but on Ebay you probably have a better chance of getting less than you hoped for on something like this. Just my opinion of course.

I'm getting ready to sell mine. 66 headlight buckets and doors with brand new retainingrings and screws, stripped and primed and I don't expect to get that much for mine. They are PRISTINE, perfect shape, but I don't think I could fetch more than 75 each, let alone 175. Like I said, the repros are 60 bux less, brand new, ready to paint. Why pay up to 175 and than have to strip and prime them on top of that.

Ehh, some dummy'll buy them. Not me! [8D]

I will buy 40 year old parts over repops ANY DAY. Nothing fits as well as a factory part. I have never bought any repop item that fit as well as a factory piece does. Don't sell yourself short. Clean it up as best as you can, hell, even strip it if you have the means or facilities to do so, so that the new owner will only have to have it painted then installed.
