Engine stalls - intermittent

The higher coil voltages are probably a product of the pertronix install as they need 12v to run so you bypass the resitance wire so i don't think that would be a problem.

It depends if the pertronix is installed like Paddy said, or if you just hooked it straight to the coil. Unhook the Tachometer and see if you are getting under 10 volts at the coil. How old is the gas in that car?

Bypassed the coil, still 12 volts. I am running stock points. Pertronix is long gone.
