i have a 289 coupe with an A/T, i was wondering if a tri-y header setup would fit on it, if so could you recommend a brand, and if not, what do you think the next best thing for me would be? any help is greatly appreciated, i finally got a good job and i can start restoring my stang.

i found some tri ys but it says that they are only for 65 -66 289s, does this matter, will they still fit on a 67?

 

Yes, a 289 is a 289.

 

Yes they should work on 67. They work on any 289 from 65-70. If you have PS I think you also need a PS drop bracket for them to fit. I bought my ceramic tri-y's from CJ Pony Parts ebay store.

I think you meant 1965-68. 1968 was the last year for the 289.
