Default RE: Phenolic spacer question...

The coil is relatively new (replaced about 4 months ago when I installed Pertronix Ignitor and new wires). So, if it is the coil, it would have to be defective. How would I test it? My gut tells me it is something with the fuel b/c of the bubbling that I am seeing in the float bowl and in the clear filter. I am running pretty much the same setup as Soaring; so you would assume that I wouldn't have any problems. Soaring, do you have any pictures of your fuel line routing? We have had a turn of cooler weather here in Houston, the last couple of days and I haven't had any problems running it around. I am assuming that the cooler weather is helping the situation. Thanks for all the help guys. Any further input would certainly be appreciated.

When I rebuilt my XLCH 11 years ago I installed a NEW H-D coil and had the same type trouble you describe. Bought an Accel from Pete Hill, problem solved. But 185 fuel temp does sound a little extreme. I remember workiing on brother-in-laws 75 280-Z with K-Jetronic injection that had this in the service manual:

"this fuel system runs 37 psi, vapor-lock is NOT a problem."
