Default TOO HOT!

Can anyone recomend good insulation for the Entire cabin of my 66 coupe. I am doing a restomod and will have a sound system. Looking to reduce road noise and heat as much as possible. I am planning on installing the stock carpet underlying but I would like to add as much extra insulation as possible (floor, roof, trunk, door panels, firewall, etc.) Thinking dynamat at the moment. Need help. Thanks.

I am buying a roof for my 66 coupe, is it worth trying to install myself or should I get it professionally done? I have never even attempted it before. Can anyone shead some light on how much it will cost to get it professionally installed? Thanks.

About the only under hood area that would affect the interior noisd level would be the firewall and under the hood. Dynamat would work there really well.

took 2 attempts to do do it but i did my headliner myself,,,,liners were something like 25.00 each,,,buy your contact cement at home depot,,,( twice as much and cheaper),,,used a old butter knife , 3" wide dull scraper, and a 2 " dull scraper,,used then to tuck the head liner under the front and rear window gaskets,,,, keep the "ceiling rods" in the same order as removed,,,DO USE new insulation in the roof it helps take out wringles,,,cover everything so when the glue drips or runs it doesn't hit anything,,locally here in AZ they wanted 250.00 to do the same thing so I figured for 25.00 a pop and time to spare it was worth taking a shot... also lay it out on the ground to warm up and also use a white crayon to show whats square and what's a factory miss cut,,that way whenyou mount the rods you won't freak,,I think mustang forums has an article about this one,,,,,not that I'm a cheap/broke student/full time employee but when you look at shop rates sometimes it's best to take a shot and other times let a pro do it !!!
