Inner and outer? You may be talking about the frame rail extensions that tie the front and rear frame rails together. NPD has them both.

When i am looking at parts catalog there are inner and outer frame rails, and i was wondering what the difference between the two were.

I think what you mean, is that some frame rail connector ends fit inside the frame rail and some fit outside the frame rail, The is no inner and outer frame rail.
