but modding stangs is all about opinions, so yeah they will clash at some point and people have to recognise that this means people will disagreeand cut each other slack. Alsoglen is not concourse guy.

Whatever the case, (I am sure there is some stuff I don't know) enough is enough. I mean at this point what do you want from Glen? Do you want him to go? I believe that the forumwould be much less without Glen here, plain and simple, I have no doubts about this statement.

I am not saying that I have not been upset at Glen before, I have even gotten a PM from him as well, but life is too short to hold agrudge forever. I am one of thes folks who likes to get it out quick and move on, I find this works best for me. It is not healthy to stay angry....

I have always been a person who really studies people, (in general, not so much specifficly) one thing I have learned in this study is that we really are not going to change people, the best that we can hope is to find a way to get along and to make the best out of any situation. All of us have some good to offer and some bad, and all of s need to learn to accept this from others as well. If we can do this well, we will be beter people because of it.

IMO, Glen has contributed much more positive (way more) than negative to this forum, and if we expect him to continue to do so, we should all be willing to accept what we might consider as negative, as well as what we consider as positive. Every relationship requires somegive and take.

IMO Glen has earned some "space" by virtue of his time here, his service here, and also because he isolder than most of the rest of us. (sorry, I do believe that we should respect our elders, and people in authority, even if the authority is just over a section of Mustang Forum) What I take away from this is I sincerly believe that Glen has earned, and is due more respect than he has gotten here for the past few days.

I am at the point where I think it is time foreveryone to stop "pushing". Just because we can push, does not mean that we should push.
James-

As I stated in the other thread, I really don't want anything from Glen, and for sure I don't want him "to go". This board would be losing a great deal of knowledge if he stopped contributing. This mess started out with me sending him a PM asking him why some threads were moved/deleted and why others remained in the classic section. It went down hill very fast from there. Again, I can't post that conversation without his permission, so no one else will ever know the roots of this problem.

I'm not pushing for any change, at this point, I am simply curious as to if anything *will* change. If the admins and other moderators decide that Glen's actions are acceptable, then that's fine. It's then my decision whether or not I want to put up with that abuse. If so I'll stay, if not I'll leave.

As far as respect goes - I too am a firm believer in respecting elders and those in authority positions. I started out respecting Glenn's authority, however lines were crossed and respect has been lost. There is nothing I can do about that.

I'm pretty much done with this topic, so more than likely, I won't be publicly posting anything about it anymore. I'm going to move on to more important Mustang related issues. If anyone wants to discuss it privately with me, PM's are probably a better route to take.

He brought this upon himself. I dont want him to be gone, as I have already seen hes been a huge contributor to the site. At the same time though he made a mistake when he started moving all the EFI threads. He pissed off alot of people. To him the title of this section of MF 'Classic Mustangs' does not include any modern conveniences, to some others you can have classic looks and modern drivetrain at the same time.

Now while everyone has thier own opinions, and most of us agreed that we could put up with his opinions, he was forcing his opinion upon us by moving our threads to the 'EFI section." Which by the way the site doesnt have. Not everyone here wants to stick a mod motor into thier classic.

The name of this section is 'Classic Mustangs' not 'Unmodified and Concourse restoration forum' And by that we have a right to post questions about fuel injecting a classic, or anything else that relates to OUR classic mustang. Not conform to someone elses idea of what a classic is.

Am I sad that hes gone right now? A little, do I really miss his 'opinions', not at all. Oh and in the beginning it started out as a member leaving because of all the crap were getting from various members about modifying a classic. Wasnt really a debate of which is which, or which is better, untill the end. We just want a place to ask our questions too, and he wasnt allowing that to happen.
You know I thought it was a bad idea to delete the EFI threads as well, but I do not thik that this issue was really worth all the crap that was started in response. There are limits of what should be done in order prove ones point. I think that the line was clearly crossed here, but I realize that different people place different limits on what they consider "overboard" reactions.

For example take what happend in Detroit today, I am sure that the disgruntled employee thought that it was perfectly acceptable to show his displeasure with his former employer by entering the building and shooting a few people, but I think he was kinda out of line, and that less drastic actions would have been more appropriate.

I realize that what has happened here is of much less consequence, but none the less I believe that some folks stepped over the line. Your issue was not handled well,,,, and we have all broughtissues upon our self at one time or another, good thing everyone in our lives dosen't crucify us when we do so.

In any case, it looks like Glen is gone, no need to worry about it anymore.

This thread must DIE.

The issue has been taken care of. Further issues are being head off by a collaboration between Glen and the Admins.

Thanks,

acer.

P.S. Please do not make me lock this thread.

PLEASE LOCK IT....and all the other ones dealing with the issue. Its polluting this section, and has nothing to do with questions concerning classic mustangs.
