Ram Air
thinkin about putting ram air on my 67 289 my mechanic told me it would work but i figured id come on here and ask the experts. mustangs plus sells a kit that says 69-70 but it also says fits 289-302 so i think it could work
One of my projects was to make a ram-air system. The car was a 69 Fastback, 351W, 4 speed.I fabricated two 2 x 12 ducts that fit under the air dam, transitioned to 4 inch dia duct up to the air cleaner where I fabricated two 4x 6 fittings, one to the old snorkel hole, one to a new hole on the left side. Minimal amount of modifications, maximum effect. Above 70 or so,you could 'feel' the difference. I'm sure my top end was extrended as well. Mounted down low, I picked up cooler air, in theory.
