Default RE Soaring

Sorry to bring the news, I found it several days ago while serching for info..
Soaring is registered and posting on another site.
I been reading"where is Soaring" and finaly I decided to end the speculation about his whereabouts, I don't think that it is for me to disclose the name of the other site since Soaring din't do it himself.

Well crap.
I hope he was "fired" and did not leave of his own accord.

If he was fired, I would have a lot more respect for him than if he just took his marbles and went to another site.

Either way, it is our loss.

I don't think it would be either fair or right to hold Glen's apparent decision to leave of his own accord against him. Speaking in far more general terms than those surrounding an internet forum disagreement, situations do occur that become intolerable for one reason or another, and you may find it impossible to findreconciliation between personal beliefs of long standing and current circumstances. In such cases, there may not be much else that you can do that doesn't widen the distance between the rest of thewarring factions other than to step back and take a breath, so to speak.

I did say 'apparent', as (among other reasons) I'm pretty sure that Glen has dropped in to lurk a couple of times since. So even though I'm probably reaching a bit at this point,it may not have been a completely irreversible decision, and he may return in due time. When - and I must still say 'if' - it happens, it'll be on his schedule, which is his prerogative.

By way of explanation and to save everybody chasing profiles, I'm a lot closer to Glen's age than are most of the rest of the members here (I turn 60 this coming Fall), and you do tend to see things and their consequences a bit differently at that age than you do when you're in your teens/twenties/30s.

How 'bout we just sit tight on this issue and let whatever's going to happen, happen.

On edit, I was really hoping that nobody would post a link to where Glen has started posting. He still deserves his privacy, and I'm not entirely sure that can be guaranteed.

+1

But I wanna be the first to say:

Soaring is now a newbie!!!! [8D]He said so himself on the other forum.

Maybe he got tired of modding our asses. You know how you make a teacher quit be being little hooligans in class.

I dunno, just a thought.

I will miss his antics tho.

glen was not fired...he was not even asked to leave.
we (the admin) have not heard from glen in a few days, and we hope that he does choose to return.

there were a difference of opinion and it seems that perhaps he has chosen to go elsewhere, but there is no point in spreading rumors. I would appreciate if we didnt have a thousand "where is soaring" threads, as they will be removed. If he has chosen to move on, then that is his decision.

I do not feel that it is appropriate to discuss the events around this situation on the open forum, but anyone who would like to discuss it with me, as always, is encouraged to PM me.
