Default upper control arms

okay, here goes...
What is the difference between a 65/66 upper control arm and 67? I know some have 3 rivets in the ball joint and some are 4 bolts but can a 65/66 fit a 67? I see new replacements listed for 65-70 and I see some listed specifically for the 67. Anyone KNOW (not guess) what is different?
Reason I ask is I have a 67, I replaced the shafts, spring perches and ball joints about a year ago. I touqued down the cap on the shafts and on one side it appears the upper control arm moves and not the shaft. So I pull it all apart and the threads in the arm are stripped out. I see Mustangs Plus lists just the arm with 4 bolt holes for the ball joint for a 67 is over $100 and for 65/66 is about $60. I can buy a replacement with the shaft and ball joinst for about $75 but I don't need all that and I dont want a concours arm with the ball joint riveted on. They also list them in some places as a 65 thru 70 part and some by the year, so again if anyone can say for sure what the differnce is I would appreciate it, thanks

There is a difference between 64-66 and 67 up but I don't remember what the specifics are. I don't think they are interchangable. As to three vs four bolt ball joints, Ford made a running change on the assembly line (again I don't remeber when) and ultimately went to the four bolt type toservice the entire 'A' arm.
