MORE POWER!!!!!!
I have a fully machined shopped 302 that has a edelbrock fourbarrel carb 600cfm, edelbrock intake, a performance cam, and some hooker headers. What other upgrades can i do with out really changing the main engine up. (pistons, and heads)Also with my upgrades howmany horsesdo ya think my car has right now? Thanx
really hard to say without a couple of numbers to begin with, is this a crate engine u have or a 69 boss or what? what heads did it have one there? as for more power....msd electroic controls help a ton along with full exhaust with magnaflows or flowmasters.
or god forbid u upgrade to 4 disc or new suspension

Hey Partner,
As a previous responder noted, there are many details omitted to gaive any kind of legitimate HP estimate. You ac start with a computer engine dyno program like "Virtual Dyno" which with engine details will provide an estimate of HP and a lot other data about your build. However, you will need to know many details about your engine to gaet any lind of valid estimate. Example, bore, stroke, CR ratio, intake type, carb size, timing data, header dia. and type, cam prolfile numbers, head flows, valve sizes, porting -no porting etc. This will give an indication of HP at the flywheel. You can expect up to a 25% loss at the rear wheels. Got the picture!
The upside to all of this is yourlearning curve ill trend upward.
Good luck!

+1 on the dynoed .. i went to a dyno shop and people was standing outside talking about how much horse power they had and when they get on the dyno .... they come up short and want to blame the dyno so .... in other words dont guess and put your foot in your mouth pay the dyno fee and get it tested and then you will have documention to back up your talk with your buddys ... that is just my 2cent

Two things that people seem to forget -
1) A GOOD tune up - on a dyno if you can affort it - set the distributor curve to optimum and get the most you can from the carb.
2) Gears in the rear - get the engine a better lever to push against. If you have a stock rear end, going to ~3.55 gears will give you more improvement in acceleration than you got with the engine mods. (loosely speaking)
Dyno it! Its fun anyways! Check this out! http://youtube.com/watch?v=9GOoHz5W2S8
also if u got a 1/4 mile to work with and some time on your hands
