Default Interior colors

Hello All,

I have a 68 coupe that was originally Raven Black on the outside. I will probably stick with that when I get to that point, but I not sure about the interior. Is there a code that covers the interior color scheme. i believe it was Maroon at least the metal on my dash is maroon. The doors are black, the seats are black. The dash pad was torn out by PO so I don't know what color it was. I can't find a maroon dash pad for sale anywhere, so was it black? Thanks for your help in advance...

You need to look at the door data plate to determine the original color - if it's still there. If you are interested in more production data, contact Marti Auto Works, www.martiauto.com Kevin Marti purchased the Ford data base that has a bunch of info. Data exist for 67 on so those with 66 or older cars are out of luck.

Interior Trim colors for 1968 Mustangs included blue vinyl, dark red vinyl, black vinyl, saddle vinyl, ivy gold vinyl, parchment vinyl, aqua vinyl, nugget gold vinyl, black comfortweave, blue coomfortweave, parchment comfortweave, and dark red comfortweave. So I guess you could just choose which color you want the dash pad to be. Personally, I would prefer the dark red vinyl over the black if the seats are dark red. Try to find a dark red dash pad as opposed to a burgandy.
