Default Shift kit

Two things....

1. After I bought my 67' Stang, I noticed when the trans shifts it's very hard and is a bit louder than usual between 1st and 2nd.. It's a C4 trans. I was told by the previous owner that he put a bit too much trans fluid. Would it make that noise with too much fluid?

2. I bought a B & M shift kit for my C4. I'm gunna bring it to a shop to have it installed here in the Chicago area. How long does it take to install a shift improve kit? Any trans specialist shop would do it right? Is there a noticeable difference after a kit is installed?

I have the same kit in my C4 and it is amazing! Took my uncle about a day to install it. I really like how my car shifts now. It definitly shifts harder and feels faster.

Notice the key word there. A built auto will always be faster than a manual car.

the only thing I know is that 64-69 c4s have a smaller (24) spline than the 70+...My tranny shop said they'd add a shift kit and convert the spline to a newer style which takes more abuse and has much greater parts available and mods available.
