Default 67 C4 auto

Anybody have any real world experience with seeing how much HP a 67 (24 spline) stock c4 auto transmission will be able to handle?

400+......I'm real ignorant on drivetrain...I have stock c4 and 8 inch open w/3.55s and original driveshaft etc. My plan is to drive the car mildly during engine break in period this summer and mod drivetrain accordingly this summer. Could someone tell me (in detail) all the things I shouldget doneto the drivetrain? Good news is my suspension is all new Grab a Trac and new front disc SSBC brakes...I was originally planning a 325 hp build but I went way overboard..now nervous about the drivetrain....

Everything. It will all break if you're making over 350 hp. Stock components were simply not made to handle that much power and on top of that they're 40 years old.

Will it even make it through mild engine break in driving? will I even be able to get it to the tranny shop?

I did my t5 swap before I put the 408W which I am glad I did. But I wish I had swapped the rear end first too cuz now its parked while I build my 9" to swap out for the destroyed 8". I wouldn't count on that stock drivetrain lasting very long when you step on it. What motor are you going with?

The 8" won't last too long if you make use of the horses.

I'd be gathering up parts if I were you cuz it wont take long to destroy everything behind a well-built 347.

I put a TCI Streetfighter behind my 347 and haven't had any trouble. I went with a 2300-2500 stall converter and so far, so good. I like the way she performs, but I also haven't tried putting anything else, so there might be something better.
