dumping exhaust

Default dumping exhaust

Is it illegal to dump the exhaust before the rear axle. i have a 76 mustang ii cobra ii. i plan on using glasspacks.

Depends on what your state or city rules are, here in OKC it doesn't matter

True. The South is a little more leniant on noise rules and stuff than most places...

its strictly based on the noise level.you can run straight headers if u want if your motor was quiet enough.i have turn downs in cali.

dude just dump them..lol mine are...as you already know...its not like the cops can do nething about it....emissions wise anyway...cuz your car was made before they started all the emissions crap..but if you get glasspacks i wouldnt dump them...those would be WAY to loud...for other people anyway...lol i'd like it.. oh and about the glasspackcs...just check some of the links on the main page of mustang forums..

If you do dump them, make sure and check your trunk for any leaks. Get all that nice and sealed up tight.

Yeah, or you might wake up dead. It must be nice to be young and enjoy loud mufflers. I did when I was your age. I even put a glass pack on our 1959 six cyliner Ford. Yeah, I was once young and stupid.

im runing glasspacks with a turn down right before the axle just like superdavids. or make it turn out to dump right in front of the back wheels is there a reason you cant run a full exhaust or you want it really loud like most of us
