I bought the new & improved door shellfrom NPD as well,and they worked really nice.

not to steal this thread but how do you go about replacing a door skin? I hear it could be much better to pay for an original at a pick a part

Eastwood has tools to remove old door skins. There are about 20 spot welds to contend with and a special removal pliers to undo the 'crimp'. The fun part is crimping in the new skin and spot welding it into place, without causingto much warpage to the new skin. Getting doors from a wreck is a better way to go.

We put repops on my dads 66 had the car painted took the them off and went to ford and bought new ones. The gap at the door was horrible. We were naive at the time the fenders on the car could have easily been saved. About 4hrs of work would fix your fender up nicely. That is just going off the pics. I do this work for a living so I may tackle something others may walk away from. In response to the doorskins. I like to use duramix medium metal bonding on skins and tack the corners. I loathe doing doorskins[:@]

yeah but in todays age theres no reason to need to weld it you can bond it on with adhesive which is technically a longer lasting repair that less prone to corrosion
