The first thing I did to my 67 was brakes. Stop fast before go fast. I bought a set of American Wheel(iirc) 15" $25/pc cheapo steel wheels because the 14" won't fit. I ran the Wilwood disc conversion kit that can be had in Summit's catalog for around $615. The kit is a complete bolt up to a factory front drum assembly(at least for the 67) with drilling required if you're converting factory disc to Wilwood's. You'd also need a master cylinder(decent Wilwood dualfor around $100-120$ iirc) and a proportioning valve to control F/R brake bias, and then some flexible brake lines and fittings to fit the caliper/factory hardline etc. I like the Wilwood's because that kit is functional, not visual, they WORK. Wilwood also offers a whole line of pad compounds, from mild street quiet stuff to steel vaporizing superspeedway 200+mphheavy carcompounds(not for street). You can also pick up replacement rotors(11.75"x0.810" vented steel alloy) for around $25-30 a peice new retail. I still run factory drums, but with good tires the beast stops VERY quickly. I've had the same discs with somewhat abrasive pads for around 2 years now I think. somewhere between 50k-80k miles on them and they're just getting to the point of needing to be replaced, and I use my brakes like they're free.

I'm going to try to barter my outlaw 14's in great condition for some 15 steel wheels or mags in poor shape.

+1 with Glen on this one. http://www.discbrakeswap.com/is a good deal for $550. Junkyard Granadas are over $200 and then you still have to buy new calipers, rotors, components..etc...
Plus, the new spindles from Dennis correct thepast Granada geometry issues.

I'll get you a pick with them on there. The guy I want to barter with is another member so you might get two pics. I'm still bummed they won't work.

If you can live with GM calipers you could check with Scarebird to see if his set up works with 14" wheels.

Here is an install write up by a happy customer

I'm researching my options and this is one I would consider, but I have 15" TT-IID so I haven't researched the 14" wheel issue. If you're going to change wheels, I would consider 17" wheels from a modern mustang that will allow use of 13" cobra disks ala MustangSteve.

I can't stand anything GM. I wouldn't touch any of thier engineering designs with a 10 foot pole.

What worries me about that is the guy has ebay feedback of 100% for 3200+ transaction he must have annoyed somebody by now!! I might be just being paranoid and he may be a great guy but that my mentality!!! hopefully some more knowledgeable person can answer because I think if it is that easy to do why is everybody like cj pony part not carrying the same type of kit?
