Question about brake warning light switch.
I have two different switches (the ones that go on the brake distribution block). The one from my 67 has one pin, the one from my 68 has two pins, but I think they are one piece of metal, so they have continuity between each other. My question is this: should I have continuity between the pins that plug into the wire harness, and the pin that sticks into the brake distribution block? How does this switch work, does it just ground to the distribution block when there are unequal brake pressures?
In the 67, the switch is grounded at the distribution block, in the 68 it is an inline switch that has the bulbactivated when the ignition switch is on start as a bulb test and then goes dark for regular running, or so it appears in the wiring diagram. You should have different connectors for each.

Yeah, I do have different connectors on each car. Where did you get the wire diagrams that you are looking at, mine do not show that type of detail at all.
The Mustang Assembly Manual series published by Jim Osborn Reproductions and sold by most mail order shops, NPD, Texas Mustang, etc. They cover a lot but do not have everything.
