Need help (formally such is life) new problem
Please help, this is another update to the such is life thread
so i began working on my carb. took it apart cleaned it up and put it back together. The fuel log's O rings aparently were pinched and caused a gas leak. Finally got that set, and then noticed another leak. Forgot a gasket in the main fuel bowl. Took off the bowl and then put it back on. Got to the last screw and I guess I over torqued it (after I checked I had a few threads left so I don't know how that happened) and broke the screw. Autozone wont have the part till tomorrow so there goes that.
Next up, getting the darn thing screwed back on and dialed in and start the bugger. Then it's on to setting the timing. Hope that experience goes a little more smoothly!
Wish me luck!

ARRGGGHHH.
So, Get the part and the screws are too short. Gotta go to the hardware store tomorrow and see if I can find something to work. In the meantime, I did get the car running. Used the old gas directly into the carb trick. Then as long as I got on the gas it would keep going. Let off the gas and stopped. It would be a lot easier if I had another person to help. I just hope I've got the problems figured out. Any suggestions go ahead and pipe on up I'd like to have all options possible to get her running again!

new update. Got the carb up and running. Took the car around the block. Halfway the car dies, I get it running and limp it home. Open the hood and it sounds like I got gas boiling. Not here is my thought on the matter. When I was doing stuff, coolant spilled out of one of the hoses I removed (don't ask why I was messing around with the coolant when I was doing the carb)anyway I didn't think it was that much of a loss.
If it was could this be my problem? I'm heading over to the store tomorrow to get more coolant anyway but I was just wondering. Also How much do I put in the thing? It's a stock replacement rad with no overflow tank, just the tube that drops coolant everywhere when it overfills.
Another note, it did not do this before I started the rebuild.
Help me please!!!!!!

thanks soaring, do you think the coolant loss was/is my only problem? This may sound stupid, but there is nothing I could have done to the carb to cause the boiling. The only other thing that has changed since I began the rebuild was that I put new gaskets on the valve covers. That be it. Everything else stayed the same.
You had that Mustang shipped from your former base.
Did you notice this problem while you were driving it at your former base? Did this problem crop up shortly after you picked it up from the shippers?

no it was fine until I rebuilt the carb (and messed with the coolant/spilled some, not sure how much, or maybe a lot.) I guess i could just try adding coolant and seeing if there is a difference. The shippers actually did a great job, I may use them if I have to relocate when I get a job.
okay so I actually looked in the radiator. It looks like I have enough fluid. It goes to the tops of the cores. I don't think I'm getting much coolant if any to the top end of the engine. maybe later after my little girl wakes up from her nap I can take a pic of the engine bay and stuff and you can see the hoses and whatnot. That way you guys can help me out a little better.
I'm thinking maybe something is not connected properly or something and coolant is not going everywhere it's supposed to.
Any other ideas? Like I said before I think I'm having a fuel boil problem, it's never done this before and all the same parts are on that used to be.
