Everything but the wiring. You need a parts car or a better yet, sell your car and get a mustang with a V8. Hate to tell you that. I did that to mine. Everything is new now. I would of been better off if I would of sold mine car. I didn't stock with my mustang. I put a 9" rearend in and a T-5 trans in. I also have disk brakes.

If you have a complete v8 parts car its not that hard.

Swap in the rear end.
Swap in the tranny
Swap in the motor
Swap in the spindles
Swap in the upper and lower control arms

Add sway bar in the front
Upgrade to a 2 chamber MC
install export brace and Monte Carlo bar

40 yr old wiring always need work anyway but specific wiring upgrades I can't think of any.

Of course the wiring is different. Hell, you are going from a 6 banger to an 8. Some friendly advice. Sell the 6 banger, and get an 8 banger from the get-go. A WHOLE lot less money to upgrade.

He has a parts car. It would not cost that much if he did the work himself. It would be less work.

Maybe so, but if it were mine, I wouldn't be putting any used suspension parts on it.

He should replace all parts that are suspected to be worn or damaged. Now is his best opportunity to make it right...
