the 302 is a 289 with a longer stroke

either is a fine engine, but the 302 is about 100 times easier to find

You will need low compression pistons and forged everything... unless you plan on running next to no boost. Honestly, I love twin turbo setups, and I would love to do that to my Stang, but being 19 I know I have no where near the funds to do it right. A big cube motor is waaaaay cheaper and less maintinance.

As said the 302 is a 289 with a longer stroke. But they dont make the 289 anymore so keep that in mind, hence 302 parts are easier and cheaper to come by,however once again they are practically the same motor,so a lot of parts are interchangeable

Yes you will be able to put them on a 289. Not sure what your situation is, but try looking for some gt40 heads instead of the 302's.

+1. Stock heads wont flow near enough for any kinda performance setup, muchless twin turbo.

turbo motor reliability = exhaust valves made to work with high heat / turbo applications. forged dished or flattop pistons, ummm.... thats about it.
