my 65

im new to the hobby and i just bought a 65 coupe. all original, i think, and the motor runs and drives. the body is rough the roof and glass is about all that can be saved. any tips or advice on what im getting my self into.

Buy yourself a new mig welder and learn how to use it if you don't already know. Take it slow and easy. One project at a time. You can get overwhelmed if you try to tackle too much as once. Remember, it is a project, not a daily driver.

Take a look on Ebay for migs. I just picked up a Linconln Weldpak 175hdfor $405 (Home Depot sells this same model for $599). The 175 series has been replaced by the 180 series, so there are lots of deals on the 175s out there. It is a 208/230 welder (good) and can easily be set up to run off your dryer outlet if need be. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

I got my Mig welder from Craigslist. A great buy...
