WTF!!
i have my car on jacks( in the process of installing my MC bar ). Well, as i was looking at my wheel I spotted something. I was missing a freakin lug nut. Isnt that really dangerous? who know how long i was driving like that. Well how do i go about buying another one with the same thread patter?
Here would be my approach to your problem:
1. Take another lug nut off the car
2. Use a different car to go to the parts store
3. Wait your turn in line and for the counter jockey to answer all incomming phone calls.
4. Hold the removed lug nut at eye level and say "I need one of these."
5. Go to the counter/shelf that the guy points to.
6. Spend at least 10 minutes looking at your options.
7. Select one - of course you will need to buy multiple lug nuts as the store probably doesn't sell singles.
8. Return to the counter and wait your turn again.
9. Ask the counter jockey if you picked a winner.
10. Bitch about having to buy more than one, but bend over cause you do not have a choice.
11. Pay whatever they demand.
12. Return to your car.
13. Install the newly purchance lug nut.
14. Torque all other lug nuts to the specified amount. Please, I do not want to have to type these instructions again.
15. Look over your car and make a list of all the other things you have planned for it.
16. Drink a beer while you contemplate which thing on your list you should do next.
17. Repeat steps 15 and 16 until you pass out.
I hope this helps.
