Default 63 mustang?

hey guys from the s197 side of the forum, anyway, driving home today i saw a old mustang for sale, i passed it then about 5 min later i decided to turn around to look at it, it was a 63 mustang. it wasin rough condition, needs some body work.so i come home and look upthe 63 online and see its a prototype. my question is how hard would it be to find parts for it, and whats the value of this car.

pictures? if it really is a prototype i would assume its worth quite a bit of $ but i doubt it is...im thinking that the person selling it is just stupid and doesnt know what year his car is. ive seen it happen before, seriously.

i looked at the car, no way is it a 64. like i said, when i got home i looked up a 63 mustang, looks just like it. idk what to do, if its worth something and the seller dosent know i might pick it up, but if its a fake how do i find out, i cant exactly tell him that 63s are only prototypes.

Brenden, the truth is that the odds are about 10 million to one that it's a real 1963 prototype. Ford didn't launch the Mustang to the public until April 1964. Yes, there were a few prototypes built, but nobody is that lucky to find one by the side of the road. It's a 65 or 66 that the seller has mislabled.

Give up the link that shows what a 63 Mustang looks like... which is like the one you saw....
