engine rebuildto
I have recently inherited my grandfathers 67 convertible. Both the engine and the transmission need to be rebuilt. Also, the floor pans need to be rewelded and I would like to repaint it to its original red. Does anybody have an recommendations on where I could get these done in central Virginia (I live in Charlottesville)?
Thanks

I don't live in Virginia, but I would start in the phone book. Just call some places or better yet, go talk to them face to face and get some price quotes. Also, if you know anyone locally that has old cars, ask them where they go. Word of mouth is the best advertising sometimes. If someone got bad service somewhere, they will be sure and tell you not to go there. Sorry, I'm not much help but is the best I could do.
Try giving the guys at Va Mustang a call if they can't do it they can give you some good leads. They are in Broadway Va. I think KarKrafters is also somewhere around there they are supost to be real good. I've never even contacted them but have heard good things about them. I'm not even sure I spelled their name right. I do all that kind of work myself. If you wanted a crate motor I could help you with that.
Find out the phone number of the presideant of a large city in Virginia like the Mustang Club in McClean, Virginia and call him. Just type in McLean Mustang club orsome other large townon google and get the info. Ask those guys who has the best Mustang restoration shop in Virginia. Someone will know.
