i just think this is a steal but i want your opinion on it. i've asked him questions like what kind of tranny that is, and what suspension he put on? and i did ask him about the damage in the rear. i just asked him this so he hasn't answered yet.

what do you think? is it worth 3500$

Chrome oil pan sold me...

Looks like a very good project car for someone that has the time and experience.

I would ask for some pics of the drip rails or rain gutters as he called them. If those are rotted,I'm sure it will be a pain in the a$$ to fix.

ya the cowls are almost always rotted out, cost a but load to have a body shop fix em and to do it yourself is a royal PITA.

I dunno man it looks like a lot of work...I got my stang for $2,200. The body is straight no dents, engine and tranny works and they were still in the car. lol

those heads are not finished and looks like theyve been spray painted, wtf?

I think you can do better for the money

and if its your first project 2 things spring to mind
1) I would want to pull it to pieces myself so I understand how to get it back together and know i have all the pieces (or at least know what has to be replaced).
2) one that is driveable would allow you to start with smaller bites to build your knowledge and skills - you wouldnt necessarily have to strip the whole car to pieces straight away.

good luck

i wouldnt even take that thing for free....maybe for free if they dropped it off and you had a place for it with all the tools to restore soemthing like that....but not a cent more....its a rusted out car but thats just it....its a 69-73 COUPE...one of the "less than desireable" mustangs.trust me...rotted drip rails suck more than anything....i just shaved mine off because there was like nothing left after i scraped out the bondo....it seems sturdy from all the tack welds i did along the seam but with ythe twisting and what not from the car i guess i wont know until its back on the road......oh did i mention there is no one basically reproducing the drip rail metal??
