What would you value my car at?

At the moment it's an I6 auto....There is no rust and it *almost* has subframe connectors. Only problems are: horn button doesn't work, headliner could be replaced, and needs a glove box. I paid 4 grand for the car.

I plan on putting in a roller motor out of a Foxbody, throwing in a 5 speed, 9" w/ posi, 15x7 TT's, new paint job (Has a few dings, possibly just a Maaco or equivalent for 800 bucks), all new suspension (lowering it an inch), fixing the horn and headliner, hydraulic clutch, 4bbl, intake, ceramic tri-y's w/ H pipe exhaust....

After that it should be in damn good condition. Theoretically, if I were to sell it, what would you reckon it's value to be?

And what color would you reccomend? I like the current shade, but am not opposed to gloss black.

I don't know if I'd ever trust Maaco with a gloss black paintjob...

haha...ya black is a very hard color to do. you have a black interior so you could pretty much go with any color. i like the color of soaring's car a lot. i actually would have paintedmy carthat color but rustoleum doesnt make it [:@]. i think its called spring time yellow. not 100% sure though

edit: oh and if you temperatures in your area ever get over 80 it wouldnt be very fun to drive if you painted it black. especally with the black int.

Any estimates on value? If I were to post it for sale for 15 k would I be out of my mind? Could I ask for more?

no offense but basically what your saying is that you want to take a perfectly good original car and make it like every one elses on here, clone restomods make me yawn, and try to sell it...if your going to sell it, fix the headliner, paint it the original color, and have a good presentable interior, trunk, and engine bay....

ehhh...not to burst your bubble but i dont think you would get 15K. with a macco paint job and all of that other stuff maybe $9k more likely $6k. it all depends on where you're located though, i was able to get mine rust free with a v8 for $2500. one thing is for sure though, dont expect to get out of it what you put in, its never gonna happen.

Wish I lived where you guys did! In the SF Bay Area a rust free V-8 won't go for less than 5-6. Good condition seems to always be at least 12.
