My 68 that I just bought a year or so ago has two rectangular holes immediately to the left of the green right turn signal on the dashboard. Can anyone tell me if there's supposed to be something filling those holes?

i dont think there supposed to be there

 

The rectangles are supposed to be there but they shouldnt be empty holes. Mine are closed out with what appears to be clear plastic like the turn signal arrow. I dont remeber if they are for warning lamps or what. Next time I start my car Ill check them out.
