Default Fan Shroud Bracket Question

I have a 1968 Coupe with a 289 2v. I have a 3 row radiator with new water pump.. I upgraded it froma 2 row but still have the stock 4 blade fan. Of course, in traffic it runs warm then goes to normal temp range when moving. I have no AC but I do have power steering. I am going to buy a fan shroud and a 6 blade fan to upgrade cooling system. What type of backets/hardware do I need? The NPD, DMP books I have list the brackets for only 65-66 mustang. Will a 3 row 1965-66 brackets work for a 1968 3 row shroud setup.

Thanks,

The fan shroud that I got from Texas Mustang had the mounting brackets (hardware) in the box with the shroud. If you are ordering it from NPD, give them a call and ask.

I had to bend my 'three row' brackest to fit my 'three row' radiator and shroud. The reason is thatall three row radiators are different. Get the brackets and don't be surprised if you have todo a little bending.

I just installed a shroud this past weekend on my 4-row radiator in my '65. I got the shroud and brackets from NPD. I don't know about them working on a '65, but like Jim said, I too had to bend them a bit to get the shroud to line up properly. It also tooka bit of trial fitting to make sure I had the brackets lined up correctly.
