Default Did I do OK?

I paid $4300 for this car, all original except for a 4 speed. IL6 plain Jane, totally rust free, all systems work and upholsery excellent shape. Needs driver's door window regulator and clutch return spring.

What do you classic veterans think?Be honest, I'm a big boy................................Crash

for a rust free 6, not too shabby, although i wouldve tried to talk him down too 4, just cause its a 6, but if it is indeed completely rust free, 4300 is a good deal for a body like that

"rust free" means a lot in my book. So it looks like you did just fine.

Thanks for the positive input. We started out @ 5K and dickered from there. It was his wife's car and she put her foot down @ 4300. To me, it was one of those deals where I'd a been kicking myself for passing it by. Heck, I really wasn't even looking for a car when this one came up for sale. The guy is fairly new at our place of business and he drove it to work one day. I checked it out and jokingly offered him 3500 to which he replied that it wasn't for sale. I said that if that day evercame, to let me know. Turns out he'd been poking fun an Mamma, she took him seriously and got pregnant. You know the rest of that story.................So I'm the proud owner of a sweet little Mustang and pretty excited about it! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Good deal. There is nothing wrondg with a I-6(I own 2 of 'em). As a matter of fact, they can be made to run as fast as a 289 with the right mods. 4300 is an excellent deal, good luck with it.
