I guess the question I should have asked is, How do I take off the Flex hose from the hard line without twistin the hard line.

Use two opened end wrenches.

I have tried two open ended wrenches, but the hard line is not catching, I even tried to use a vise-grip. It is like it is stripped from previous replacements. Maybe I just need to replace the hard line as well.

that happened with my moms and we just gave up and went to the store and got new lines. it was a pain in the ***, we sat in the driveway bending them for a couple of hours. after we took the old one off we discovered that it would have been impossible for us to take them off while the line was still in the car. before you do that though hit it with some PB blaster and see if that helps...that stuff is amazing.

Completely new brake line replacement sets are available. This is from Texas Mustang... for about $50.

DO NOT get stainless brake line...that stuff is a pain in the **** to work with. when i had to put the proportioning valve in my car i had to splice into the stainless line. i took it to a professional to flare because i have heard of people having troubles with stainless and he couldnt get it on the first try and almost didnt get it on the second. oh and it took me about 3-4 days of searchingto find a shop that would even touch the stainless line.the man who i took it towas like "can i ask you why you bought stainless, you can get the same look by polishing regular and regular is a hell of a lot easier to work with"

so i reccomend you dont get stainless, its not worth it.

Well I am definatly going to have to replace the lines now. I tried PD Blaster, and I thought it was working but it turns out the line was twisting inside the hex ( or what is left of the hex) and it broke off. The samething is happening at the tube connector (distribution box?). I was hoping to at least get the rear line off so I don't have to replace that as well. The rear line looks like a pain to put in.

They have lines at Kragen for like $2.00 but I would have to do the bends myself, another $16.00 for the tool that bends the lines. If I have to run the rear line, I will brobably just by the lines pre-bent. Man, I hope I can get the rear line off the distrubution box without damage, but it is not looking good. What a pain in the !@#$%. Looks like I won't be driving to work tomorrow.
