Default Looking into buying a stang.

Going to look at a 1970 coupe this weekend. This is what I have been told:

32k original miles
Rust on passenger side quarter panel, drivers floor bood and hood
302
stoped running in 94-95ish when they purchased

So I think it is a F-code i am going to get the vin hopefully sat, and look at the car sunday.
Other then bondo and rust, anything I should look for? They want 2200 for this thing, and they sound firm.
Any help would rock, I am hopefully going to turn this thing into a street machine, I have a total budget of about 12k right now, and can hopefully do all engine work myself.
Thanks in advance~!

rust is the major concern to look at, check floorpans, frame rails, bring a magnet and run it around the body to see where the bad areas are

2200 is really steep for a non running 69-70 coupe being thats it has low miles adds a little but id think make 1200-1500$

yeah i was going to bring a magnet and a maglite, body seems straight and really no dents from the pictures. Hopefully the frame is good it has been kept in a heated storage unit since 94-95 when it stopped running.

Sounds steep to me too. If you have 12K you can find something w/o any rust. You should be able to find a sportsroof for under 12K also.

thats true, you can either try and pick up this coupe for cheap, then you got a good amount of $$$ to fix it how you like, or you can try and find an already done coupe or rustfree fastback or sportsroof
