I am taking of the old rear quarter is it just me or was this installed improperly?
The other rear quarter doesnt have this lip on the inside.

i think it qas installed wrong, how was it even connected, bondo?

It was riveted on and brazed on to that lip right there

im not sure, i have never had to replace that quarter panel

I was looking in the faqs section on how to hang a rear quarter it looks like to me someone didnt wanna fool around with the lead body filler in the roof so the cut the old quarter out then laid a new one on top and riveted it in ! anyone else think that?

that mightve been it

when i did my lower quarter, after hours and hours of fitting it in, i spot welded it all around then welded a bead at the bottom, then used some metal body filler at the top so my welds wouldnt warp the metal or show through, i think ti worked out fine sine the filler can be sanded, painted and welded to

who ever did it was a idiot i do them like the factory did with a roll of spot welds a air powered hole punch is nice to have

Ok doesnt it look like someone tried to install a quarter panel skin ? because it looks like the original is still up in the roof and needs to come out anyone else think so?

question, whats the difference between the skin and the normal one, the skin doesnot go to the roof?
