Hey guys, im attempting to set my dwell, never used a dwell meter before, am I doing something wrong or are my points shot? I have one lead going to the negative of the coil as the instructions say, and one goin to the ground as the instructions say, with the engine running, I have only 4 degrees with my dual point distributor. Do I need to disconnect one set, cause I tried that and still the most I can get is 4 degrees or 0 degrees the other way. Do I have to disconnect the coil wire or something to make this read right? The tach on my dwell meter works so I think it is hooked up right, but still im not sure as i cannot get a even close to the 28 degrees I believe it is supposed to be, is that right 28 degrees for a dual point distributor? Thanks for any input, cause im lost here at present, Ive set timing in the past, but this is my first car that has ever had points.
