I have flow 40 series and they do sound TOO loud at times inside, I meant to get the 40 delta flows which are suppose to have a lower interior resonance, their website has different sound clips

I'm quite please with my Magnaflows. They are not as loud as Flowmaster 40s... probably even a wee bit quieter than Flow 50s. The nice part about the Magnaflows is that at cruising speed..(50-60-70), there is no annoying drone... they are relatively quiet until you touch the gas.

Ah, I was disappointed. You only have an idle sound.

I have Hooker Aero Chambers, they sound great. Definately rumble at idle, but not too loud, smooth somewhat mellow tone when you cruise, but man those things SCREAM when you open it up

Agreed, I have the very same Magnaflows, and I love the low-tone rumble of them (that's until you step on the accelerator, then you can have some mean sounds, lol).

Flowmasters sound great as well, but are a tad too loud at idle for this ol' foggie, lol.

I originally had 40 series Flowmasters with 3" x pipe and 2.5 tail pipes. I just switched to a Magnaflow 3" stainless steel kit with X pipe, and 3" tail pipes. The Magnaflow sounds way better all around. It is louder than the flowmasters but I swapped in a 408 at the same time I did the exhaust and that might have something to do with it too.
