I'm going to buy a reman 302 for my 66. I just got a list of how the engine is going to be delivered. Is this a good deal? Will I have any problems with it bolting up?The engine comes with a 7yr/70,000 mile warranty.

Here are the details:

87-93 ford 302 ho roller engine[/align]GT 40 heads[/align]ford motorsport B303 roller camshaft[/align]hastings moly rings[/align]manley one piece stainless steel intake and exhaust valves[/align]heavy duty valve locks[/align]sealed power hyperuetectic flat top pistons[/align]torque plate bored and honed block[/align]index ground and polished crank[/align]all rods re-sized[/align]all new parts[/align]brass freeze plugs[/align]FEL_PRO gasket set[/align]new melling oil pump[/align][/align]TOTAL= $2302.00[/align]

I can't believe you'd get that kind of warranty on your engine, that's better than a brand new car in some cases. For that price and that warranty I'd say go for it right away.

It's a decent price for a relatively mild build. If that is what you want, then you can't beat that warranty.

id just pick up a factory assembled 5.0 from a 96-97 explorer 5.0 for about 250-500 but thats just me and then id add the cam B,E,X etc. for another 100$

Wouldn't that 10 to 11 year old engine likely have 120K or more miles?
