Default Rusted Roof

I'm reading a local car magazine and one of the ads reads:

1969 FORD MUSTANG- 351W. orig owner, acceptin offers, strong
eng. tuned up, new tires, blk primer, rusted roof, nds work $3500.

My question to anyone who car answer it is how do you fix a rusted roof?
My dad would never go for it, but at 3500 obo its a good looking offer.
Oh ya and if it matters the car is a coupe

stay away, if rusted roof means what i think it does then your gonna need a new roof, which means a donor car, which means cutting up another stang [:'(]

The only bad thing is that I have no mechanic skills, or money for that matter. And it needs new carpet and what looks like a lot of work.

I think California Mustang offers a kit to convert a coup into a convertible for about $2000. I don’t remember if they have a kit for other than ’65 – ’66 or not. A convertible would e cool for summer cruising.
