some say that you can get away with long tubes but theres is a specific mustang header for early mustangs id think that the 66 falcon shock towers are the same, maybe check out the faq in the header fitment guide

anyone know if under normal circumstances the fox body headers fit on the early stangs? im pretty sure there are "P" specific headers made for the 5.0's so thats something worth looking into

I tried everything short of custom headers.nothing worked.I even fabricated a spacer to get the header further away from the plugs and still no luck.Too bad, they make good power.

where theres a will theres a way

i have heard dimpling the header tubes can make things possible - also i dont know about shorter plugs and 90 deg. plug wire boots but im sure with a little creativity it'll work out in the end.

tristatecylinderheads offer reman'd 40P's with larger stainless valves and springs good for .550 lift for 600 bucks a pair.

If you have to ask how much, you probably can't afford it. I can't imagine how much a custom made header would cost.
