Default Fender part location or image

As you can see I have some rust issues.

Most of the fender is good and I've found where I can get the sheetmetal repair sections but the brace behind this sheetmetal is gone. I have not been able to find that replacement brace section repoped anywhere.

Does anyone know where I can find one or have an image of what one is suppose to look like? When I said it's gone I mean just above that hole starts the inner brace. If they aren't available I'll fabricate what I need. The rest of the fender is in good shape so I'm not replacing the whole thing.

Bite the bullet, get new fenders. It's going to be cheaper in the long run.

FWIW, I havea repop RH fender I just took off of my '65 because it fit like crap at the headlight bucket. I see that you are in AL and I'm in CA, but I'm guessing I could probably cut out the lower portion of it and send it to you to patch yours ... it is probably about the only thing this cheap repop is good for.

PM me if you want to go this route. If you need a pic of the backside, let me know.

If you go this route, I strongly suggest you get the original Ford tooling fenders for a trouble-free install. I swear, the new Ford tooling fender fits better than the original on the other side of the car.

I'm not sure I seehow getting new fenders will be cheaper. When I repaired my Nova's fenders it cost me some welding wire, gas, and like 20 bucks for some flat stock. Replacements were upwards of 450 bucks per fender. In this case they make the replacement patch for that area I can get for 30-35 +shipping. Welding wire, gas, and some time and I've got almost original fenders in good shape.

A picture of the backside would be perfect Gothand. Thank you for the offer but if I'm going to have to fab up one, I might as well fab up two. The second one always turns out better anyway.

That may be true if the only metal that needs replacing is what we see. But, in my experience if you can actually see a rust hole, the rust extends a long way past the part you can see. Paint hides rust real well. If it were mine, I think I would repair it too mainly because a lot of you guys have complained about the sh!tty fits the repop fenders have. Now, that door is a little different. Again, there's more rust there than one can see, so it might need a new skin.

Yeah, I'm all too familar with rust. I wouldn't of bought Rustang if I didn't have an idea of what I was getting myself into.

Rustang's fender is worse than the one in that link but metal is metal. I fixed it with minimal issues, I expectthe same result with this one.
