You gotta kno how to do it.You can do it with a baseball bat or theres a tool.To measure BS place a straightedge across the rim then measure down to the middle of the lug area. When u say stock.Did u replace it with stock parts or its the way u got it and its possibly saggin. Oh and to the kid wanting to build a 427 supercharged, why dont u shoot for a built small block or 351 stroked to 427.(lighter) glad i can be here for some guidance to u kids.
Yeah, me too . I think I'm going to PM someone with a '96-'98 with aftermarket wheels and ask them if they can measure the BS for me on their stockers...

I didn't find those exact same rims, but this site here has most newer Mustang wheels. All of the 17x8 wheels they had for1994-2004 stangs had 5.72" backspacing. So it's very likely that the ones you're looking at also have 5.72" bs.

What would it take to get s197 rims on there. They've got a 6" Backspace. Sorry I dont really understand wheel fitment very well. Oh and by the way by stock I meant I've never done anything to it in the last couple of years but the PO but gas shocks on it. Doesn't look like it sags to me.

Yep. I would have to rewire the car. I know they are 5 lug im just trying to find them in 4 lug. Plus it will be a year or 2 before i buy them.

If you're really sure that you're going to do that V8 swap then just get new disc brakes with a 5 spindle setup. You'll be needing it anyway.

i will measure my bs tomm they 4.5 5 lug for the 94 and up i am putting them on a 1976 cobra II and yes my car is a mustang 2 i think they are 5 and 7/8th back spacing and that type of rim will work for you as long as you get the right spacer to off set the spacing from factory
