Default Motor angle?

I have a tremec tko behind a 302 in a 68 coupe and the problem I have is the angle of the motor. It’s approx .250” higher in the front than it is in the back on the carb flange!? I still need to check the trans and see if it’s fairly straight or what. I was just wondering if I’m suppose to cut the tunnel for trans clearance, or if I should cut down the motor mounts some or what? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Default RE: Motor angle?

On my son's 66 the TKO fit fine, with the only modification to the car being clearancing the shifter hole about 1" to the passenger side of the car, Not the whole right side of the hole, but just a crescent shaped piece to allow clearance of the shifter.

IMO, if the engine sits right, and the rear of the trany is not hanging low, you should probably be OK, assuming that you use common sense concerning the driveline angle.
