Default Question

Hey y'all. So I know nothing about cars, but .. my boyfriend is in love with 1967 Mustangs. Everytime we ever see one, we have to stop, stare, probably track down the owner, talk to him/her about the car .. seriously. So I'm wondering, is it possible to, uh .. rent (?) one of these cars? I ask because his birthday is coming up, and I can't think of much that would make him happier than driving one, even just for a few minutes. I realize this might be completely ridiculous .. I told you I know nothing about cars. Anyway, any help anyone can offer me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Oops, that would be good to know. I'm in North Carolina, near Raleigh, but as he's in Annapolis (MD), anywhere in between (or close?).

wow! Talk about a great biz idea. I bet the largest cost to a rental car company is depreciation, since they rarely rent cars that are more than a few years old. But with classics there usually isn'tany depreciation. So, I bet there'd be a lot of money in rentingout classic cars. It'd be like those companies that rent exotic cars except you wouldn't have to keep spending money to update/replace your inventory as the cars got older. Hmmm, I wonder how I can pull this one off.

Hi Cameron, thanks for dropping in.

I'd try visiting the Hemmings website http://www.hemmings.com/clubs/

They have the largest section of car club listings (that I know of), and you would be able to search Maryland and North Carolina for Mustang Clubs. From this listing, you could get the contacts of the club presidents, and email them regarding your request. You might find someone who would rent a mustang (unlikely but possible), but more likely you would find an opportunity for your boyfriend to meet up with some 67 owners at a club meeting or show, and potentially get to take a ride with one of them.

best of luck!

Yea, but you'd have to make sure everyone has GOOD insurance and brings them back ON TIME...

Sounds like your bf has been bitten by the bug, good luck!

I used to libe in the baltimore/Annapolis area-there was a place in annapolis but I think it closed and they still have a place in Rockville. They sell classic cars-stop in and test drive one-they always had mustangs.I cant think of the name of the place.....maybe Flemings..if you did a google search for rockville,md classic car sales you would probably find there web site-I think there is a place in Vegas that rents classic cars...
You would be some good girlfriend if you took him to Vegas to ride in a mustang !
If I find the name of the place I will post it. Good Luck Scott

Yes -search fleming's ultimate garage in rockville md
