piston damage?

How bad did it smack the piston? Post a good pic. I think your probably fine though.

i ain't smart enough to post a picture - but the indentation was would barely catch my finger nail when i scraped across it.

i'm gonna take a chance - when the heads come i'm gonna put it back together and run it. i know some of you think i'm crazy but i just don't beleive the piston is hurt. the valve is marked with the carbon deposits that gather on the piston surface - the surface of the valve head itself is not damaged at all.


i will check the cr before i fire it up.

id replace the pistons a dent in it could make it spark knock besides your already there why do it again.

i smoothed the dent with 600 grit paper. just took a couple of swipes. it wasn't really a dent, more of a blemish. i really don't know how to describe it.

i blew out the cylinder VERY good. just waiting on my stuff from summitt. if if blows, i'll let you know.
